Near the southwestern tip, Karkinagri is a small picturesque fishing village sloping down a mountain side. Access is by a boat service running from Karkinagri - Magganitis - Agios Kirykos. The southern coast road does not reach Karkinagri.

It can also be reached by driving from the north coast, through Evdilos. At the western end of the village lies Cape Papas, with a famous lighthouse.

Visitors do sports, like paragliding, sailing, etc. July 26th is the traditional feast day, celebrated in the square of the church of Agia Paraskevi, the patron saint of the village.

Tip! The village has abundant tourism infrastructure, such as rooms to let, cafés and tavernas to suit all tourists. For hiking lovers, the view from the lighthouse at Cape Papas is magnificent!
