Xylosyrtis is an amphitheatrically shaped lush seaside village on the south coast, a few miles west of Agios Kirykos. Next to the village beach is a hot spring, 'Athanato nero', suitable for different diseases, such as kidney stones.
Between Xylosyrtis and the village Chrysostomos is a monument dedicated to Icarus, showing his fall at that point, according to Greek mythology. There is also an auditorium theatre, which occasionally hosts shows and events.
